| RAM and ROM chips

The TI-83 contains a 32KB RAM chip and a 256KB ROM chip.
For as far as I can tell
right now, the first 16 KB of the memory is held in the first page of the ROM
chip. The 2nd 16 KB of the memory always contains one of the 16 ROM pages (depending
on what needs to be done).
Page 0 of the ROM chip contains the operating system,
the other pages contain routines for floating point math, plotting graphs, etc,
etc.
The last 32 KB of the memory is hold by the RAM chip and can be used by the
user. It contains the VAT (Variable Allocation Table), the graph buffer, the stack,
user variables (programs, list, pics, etc.) and some other sh*t (flags, textshadow,
data pointers).
